Irrigation Installation
We are experts in system installations. Before we put your plan into action, we will make sure we are aware of the location of gas, power and cable TV lines coming into your home. If these utilities need to be contacted for any reason, we will take care of this for you.
Our method for plan implementation includes:
- Staking each sprinkler location, and establishing the pipe lines
- Creating the trenches for the pipes
- Hooking up the water supply, manifolds and back-flow protectors according
to code, of course
- Overall system flushing and valve testing
- Installation of the timer and zone testing
- And finally, burying the pipes
- Restore lawn to original condition
It is always advisable to install an irrigation system just prior to the planting and preparation of your lawn. However, if you have a pre-existing lawn, we are certainly able to install a system for you. Note that we will minimize the impact on your lawn as much as possible and repair your lawn so that in a few weeks no one will even know that your lawn was disturbed.
It is prudent that you become knowledgeable about your soil conditions and therefore the ability of your soil to retain moisture for healthy root development for your lawn.
We offer these brief tips on using your irrigation system and healthy lawn care:
- Never water at night, as it encourages pests and diseases
- Good root development is the result of about 1” (or more) of
water a week. Soak your lawn and then let it dry out so that the
water has a chance to get down at least 3-5”
- Over-watering (watering too little too frequently) causes shallow
root development, moss, fungus and molds
